Decomposing Controllers into Non-conflicting Distributed Controllers
نویسنده
چکیده
In this article we present an application of decompositions of automata to obtain distributed controllers. The decomposition technique is derived from the classical method of partitions. Tiffs is then applied to the domain of discrete event systems. We show that it is possible to decompose a monolithic controller into smaller controllers which are non-conflicting. This is derived from the notion of decompositions via partitions. Some global state information is necessary to ensure that the joint behaviour of the component automata is identical to the original controller. The global state Ifffomtation required is identical to the global information present in Zielonka asynchronous automata. The joint behaviour of the component automata is shown to be non-conflicting.

Lowering the Upper Bounds of the Cost of Robust Distributed Controllers Beyond Quadratic Invariance
The problem of robust distributed control arises in several large-scale systems, such as transportation networks and power grid systems. In many practical scenarios controllers might not know enough information to make globally optimal decisions in a tractable way. This paper proposes a novel class of tractable optimization problems whose solution is a controller complying with any given inform...

This paper aims to design an optimal distributed multi-agent controller for load frequency control and optimal power flow purposes. The controller parameters are optimized using Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO) algorithm. The designed optimal distributed controller is employed for load frequency control in the IEEE 30-bus test system with six generators. The controller of each generator is consider...

A generic event control framework is presented for a class of modular ̄exible manufacturing systems (FMSs). A modular FMS is characterized as a set of ̄exible workstations inter-connected by a material handling system consisting of a transporter and a stocker. Many of the existing FMS implementations in industry fall into this class. Furthermore, the modularity also allows the capability to ee...
متن کاملSupervisor Localization of Discrete-Event Systems with Infinite Behavior
Recently we developed supervisor localization, a top-down approach to distributed control of discreteevent systems (DES) with finite behavior. Its essence is the allocation of monolithic (global) control action among the local control strategies of individual agents. In this report, we extend supervisor localization to study the distributed control of DES with infinite behavior. Specifically, w...
